Over the past of a few months, Pussycat Dolls is rumored have split up. Currently, the Doll Kimberly Wyatt is reportedly working on her first solo album and to collaborate with Missy Elliot and rapper Paul Wall and Baby Bash. "I've recently been in the studio a lot. It started because I wanted to write but the more I did it, the more comfortable I got in the booth and started creating my own album," she said to Digital Spy. She explained then, "A lot of it so far has a dance feel, because it came about from what I could do on stage. I love electronica music, so there's a lot of inspiration from that. I've been very fortunate to work with people like Paul Wall and Baby Bash who have made appearances on my album. I've even been talking to Missy Elliot about a possible collaboration."
Wyatt, who joined the Pussycat Dolls in 2003, also shared that she feels optimist on her own album though she was unsure to do solo career. "It's been incredible because I did feel like I was going against the odds putting myself there. But the more time I spend in the studio, I realize that there is something in there that is worth sharing with the world. Seeing these talented people willing to work with me is really everything to me," she said. "Singing is something that has always been second nature to me, but it's also a challenge and I love a challenge. Singing is kind of my future and music is my engine."

Pussycat Dolls member Kimberly Wyatt has to say that when the girl group returns, there will be expect "new faces". "The Pussycat Dolls have been on a hiatus for a while now. I really don't know what's to come, I can't even comment on it because I'm not the driving force behind it," she said. Wyatt continued, "Robin Antin is the creator and there's a lot of chefs in the kitchen when it comes to the Pussycat Dolls. They're making their choices wisely. From what I know, Robin did issue a statement saying to expect new music, new ideas and to expect new faces. She added, "No matter what happens, I'll always be involved with the Pussycat Dolls even if it's helping with choreography or creative direction. I'm very thankful for everything that Robin has given me and I always want to express that in any way I can, whether it's in the group, outside the group or whatever it may be."

Rumors sparks again about the Pussycat Dolls breaking up. The New York Post's Page Six reported that the girls were no longer on speaking terms with the lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, but it has confirmed that there is no truth to the rumors. "It is war. They have broken up for good. None of the other girls are speaking to Nicole, who they believe took the limelight, then went off to do her own thing," according to Page Six.
Meanhwhile, Doll Melody Thornton has spoken up regarding the girls going their separate ways. Here's the run:
The Pussycat Dolls are currently on a break. Is this an indefinite hiatus or something more permanent? Oh, no. Well, I don't know... as of right now. The Dolls have been working consistently since "Don't Cha" came out in 2005. So we need a break. They're human bodies and minds and they need a break. It's as simple as that. There's nothing else behind it. Until the big man says I got a song and it's time to work again, we're on a break.
So if your label called you tomorrow and said, come on back and record this hit song... Then I'd be back in the studio.
Are the other Dolls working on their own solo projects? Yes.
How about you? You're appearing on E! show Bank of Hollywood. Are you done with music? Oh, no, I'm still working on music. I have to. That's what I do. I'm not doing anything else. [This show is a] side project.
What's your solo stuff sound like? Is it pop like the PCD? It kind of derives from 1960s, Ike and Tina Turner, R&B up-tempo. I want it to have real instrumentation and real music. That's what I believe real music is. As far as ballads go, I have always been inspired by Mariah Carey. I‘m a crazy Mariah Carey fan. It's good, 'cause I can sing my ass off.
